Paramus is best known for being the premier shopping & dining destination for all of Bergen County but also has much to offer its residents.

Shopping & Dining

There is no shortage of shopping or dining options in Paramus. With three large shopping malls - Paramus Park Mall, Bergen Town Center Outlets and Garden State Plaza - there's something for every budget and style. In addition, you can find full-service restaurants such as Applebee's mixed with smaller franchises like Shake Shack all along Route 17.

Getting Around

The Garden State Parkway, Route 17 and Route 4 all cut through Paramus, making it very accessible. Although there is no dedicated train station, commuters will find plenty of NJ Transit bus routes through town or could easily take a train from a nearby town on the Bergen or Passaic line.

Paramus Public Schools serve children in pre-k through twelfth grade and include five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Three of the district's schools have been formally recognized with the National Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence. Paramus is also home to many private religious schools.
